• Avoiding false positives – Keeping your ADS calibrated is a must if you want to avoid being stranded without a vehicle for no good reason. A device that has lost its calibration could cause you to be unable to drive, even when you haven’t had anything to drink.
• Avoiding legal troubles – On the other hand, a device that is not properly calibrated might allow you back on the road when your BAC is too high. This could land you in some serious legal trouble since the ADS indicates that this wouldn’t be a first offense. Additionally, you or someone else could be seriously injured or even killed if you are in an accident due to being under the influence of alcohol.
